The rest of March - Mar 15th and on

Time flies! All of a sudden it's been a month since last post. Time to catch up! We had a nice non-busy time, with a visit from Grandma Kris and Grandpa Walt! We had two kiddos who definitely liked that :-)

Sebastian loves reading. This is just a regular morning at home. He's really good about being careful with his books. Isabella is not so careful with his books. We've got several with corners bitten off random pages :-p.

She does like to read too though. Never mind if it's upside down :-)

I just love this face she's making! She's actually about to say "po"...which is what she says for cat or 'kattepus' in Norwegian. I have a black ceramic cat sitting on top of a tall bookshelf, that's what she's looking at.

Such a little lady :-)

Pensive boy.

One Monday evening (15th) the weather was so gorgeous we decided to steal pappa away from the office and take a mini trip to the beach. Sebastian likes to find holes to sit in. He calls them swimming pools. Probably after we dug some once at the beach that we tried to fill with water for him to play in.

This was Isabella's first real chance to get down and dirty in the sand. We've had a longer, cooler winter this year so it's taken a while to get warm enough to really go play at the beach. And even now it's still sporadic.

She was a little curious at first.

Sebastian gets right down to business collecting rocks and shells and other curiosities.

Isabella and pappa :-)

Playtime at the park. Sebastian generally starts out a little quietly.

But he warms up a bit after a while.

Isabella is getting more mobile and thinks the play structures are great fun!

She fell asleep in the car on the way home from the park, and she was sound asleep when I put her down. So peaceful :-)

Mellow Saturday morning. Mamma was going for a walk and pappa decided to give Sebastian a much needed hair cut.

Isabella got to get bundled up a bit and go with mamma for her walk. I go up to the Santa Barbara Mission and back, a nice 3 mile trip. Perfect!

When Grandma and Grandpa were here we had BBQ, and Sebastian got to be outside and help pappa, but decided he would rather sweep.

Grandpa Walt is great for reading books :-). If this isn't the way it's supposed to be I don't know what is!!

Better keep up Grandma, cause Isabella is set on checking out that water!

Three generations.

"You don't think this rock can talk?"

Grandpa Walt, Grandma Kris and Isabella.

Grandma Kris, Grandpa Walt and the two wee ones. Sebastian was not really feeling like standing still. We had a great time hanging out, playing, eating, and having fun! It was so nice to have them visit us here! Sebastian (and Isabella too, I'm sure, if she could think it) are very much looking forward to Yosemite this summer when we get to see Grandma and Grandpa again!

A rare moment of my darling sitting at home :-)

Doesn't she look like some little animal of some kind?

Ready to start a barber shop!

Isabella was having such a hard time sleeping one Sunday night (I think) and finally fell asleep on mamma. She kept waking up throughout the entire night, poor thing. Both her and Sebastian had pretty bad colds just before. We had a well baby visit the next morning, and came out with two prescriptions for antibiotics for two double ear infections. I felt so bad! Poor little ones :-(.

It didn't take long before Isabella was back to her normal self though. This was three days later. She's figured out how to climb on top of the toy box, but then she gets mad cause she can't make it onto the couch from there!
