We are now in Austin, TX

Hi... had a little complaint from France that we hadn't posted anything for quite some time!

We have moved to Austin, TX after a successful stay in Hong Kong. The project went well and is nearing completion.  I am doing all the work from here now.

Here are a bunch of pictures from the last few months...  my phone recently broke so I don't have many from Christmas which is unfortunate because I took a lot of shots.

In Houston, before we moved to Austin... (we were looking for a place)

Mormor reading to Isabelly

Basti has a hard time sitting still so a lot of his shots are blurry.  But moving is good.

Isabell has mastered the art of looking cute.

Sebastian sometimes would rather not have his picture taken.  He asks the media to respect his privacy.

One of Sebastian's favorite people is his Auntie Pirnelle.

Christmas Eve!

Do these tights make me look cute?

Weeeee!  (I think?)

I could do this all day!

This moment of peace at Starbuck's lasted 40 seconds!

In the kitchen in our new place in Austin.  You can see squirrels in the trees right out the window!

That red hat was soon covered with peanut butter.

right before moving out of SB

Work has been brutal these past few days.  In summary...

the company that makes the software I work with is often negligent, which can result in big messes for the clients... which is usually why they hire me to clean it up.

my client's accounting dept. has been making a mess of things for 2 years in their accounting system, which is why they hired me to clean it up.

but if you put the two messes together at the same time in the same week, it means I stay at the office 'till late for several days in a row... today I think I got over the major hump and got the accounting dept. back online... for a week they were waiting for me to clean up the mess so they could continue processing invoices... no pressure, just the entire company is holding its breath waiting for me to see if I can repair their systems.

So now that I just now got them back online and entering transactions again, I was taking a look at pictures to put up on the blog (don't have any from HK on my computer at the moment) and ran across this one.  It seems like a life time ago that we were in Santa Barbara enjoying ourselves so nicely there.  This picture is days before our departure.  I have the cutest kids and sweetest wife without a doubt.

Hong Kong ferry ride

This is a ferry ride across the channel between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.

I am riding from Kowloon to the island.  The island is down town Hong Kong, often called Central, which is one of the districts on the island.

If you see the "Phillips" sign in the beginning of the video, the tower to the left of it is where the bus drops me off for my morning commute to the office.  The "hopewell tower where I had lunch yesterday" is right next door to my office.

As you can see, the ferry ride across takes only a few minutes.  It costs about 50 cents.

It was a gorgeous day in HK and blazingly hot.

Hong Kong island is where I spend most of my time in HK.  We also head to Central often with kiddos or when Marian and I go out on a date!

Video from Christmas eve

ok I know this isn't from Hong Kong and is almost a year old now, but this tape happened to come out here some how so I was capturing video from it to my hard drive.

It's from Christmas Eve of 2009.  It's amazing how much Isabella has grown since then.  Sebastian too... he's more and more like a little boy every day.  And of course, I am always astonished at how beautiful my wife is.

Another video compressed from last night.  This one from early in the morning on August 23rd.

The video speaks for itself.

Finally... blogger brought videos back!

So last night before heading home from work I purchased a magic little cable that allows my video camera to connect to my computer so I can upload videos I've shot to my computer and compress them.

Now, blogger has brought back their old way of uploading videos (instead of going through youtube which sucked).

As a result... you will see more videos here on our blog, shot and uploaded by me.

Here is the first one... right after I got back from my trip from Hong Kong for one month and headed back to the house to help finish our big move.
